Honda Canada announced a brand new racing series for 2012 starring the CBR250R, a newcomer to our shores. Following in the tire prints of the highly successful CBR125R Challenge series, the CBR250R Challenge will pit novice and semi-professional riders between 15 and 25 years old against each other, as well as 13 and 14 year-olds who have completed at least three races in the 125-cc class.

I will freely admit that I have never been a huge racing fan. In fact, it wasn't until roughly 12 years ago, when I first took my 1989 Mazda MX-6 GT Turbo on the track, that I became somewhat interested in racing. The only motorsports that captured my attention were WRC and DTM/BTCC. Otherwise, F1, NASCAR and the others do little for me.

Capitalising on the momentum of such a flash of inspiration (and quite frankly we're always looking for any excuse to get out and about) Lotus jumped on the bandwagon and decided to put the press to work with a convoy of Evoras driving from Italy (Turin) to England (Goodwood) - the reverse journey to that of Charlie Croker and his cronies and hopefully without the added drama of bank robbery and literal cliff-hanger!

Calgary - Laval University for the second year in a row won the grand prize in the "Prototype" category at the 2010 Shell Eco-marathon Americas this past weekend in Houston, Texas. The student-built, fuel-efficient vehicle achieved the farthest distance using the least amount of fuel with an astonishing 1,057.5 kilometres per litre, or 2,487.5 miles per gallon.
