2012 Honda Crosstour EX-L 4WD NAVI Review
Tuesday, April 17, 2012
Remember the Honda Accord Wagon from back in the day? The 2012 Honda Crosstour is sort of its modern-day reincarnation. Nothing on four wheels was more level-headed than a Honda Accord Wagon. Good on fuel, reliable and ready for the "fam," it was one of the ultimate sensible haulers of all time.

2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 NAVI Coupe Review (video)
Wednesday, October 05, 2011
With great Honda sports cars like the Prelude, NSX, S2000 and CRX all retired to that great big sports-car graveyard in the sky, it's now the sedan-based Honda Accord V6 Coupe that stands as the brand's ultimate performance offering.

2011 Honda Accord HFP Coupe Review
Monday, September 12, 2011
'Tude is slang for attitude - as if you didn't already know. And here's a piece of news: The 2011 Honda Accord Coupe's got lots of it. Really. But on one condition; it must have the HFP package.

2011 Honda Odyssey Touring and Accord Crosstour EX-L 4WD NAVI Review
Friday, April 08, 2011
Honda. As I say it out loud here in my home office, I can't help but feel confused, sad and partially frustrated. In my so far brief 12-year career as an auto critic, I have still managed to evaluate nearly three dozen Hondas. In that period of time, I've test driven three generations of the Civic, two of the Accord, CR-V, Pilot, Fit, Insight and Odyssey and one of the Ridgeline, Element, CR-Z and Crosstour.

2011 Honda CR-V EX-L Navi Review
Sunday, March 27, 2011
Honda's popular CR-V has been a mainstay of the compact crossover segment since its introduction, and there's very good reason for that, not the least of which is its everyday practicality. The CR-V is now in its third generation. Along the way it's gained additional power, improved operational refinement and livelier driving dynamics in addition to a bolder, more distinctive appearance.

2011 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Review
Tuesday, March 08, 2011
The Ridgeline is the workhorse of Honda's broad lineup of vehicles. It's an innovative pickup truck that takes a less rugged approach to versatility without sacrificing a roomy 4-door cabin or four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction. This rig remains unchanged for 2011 having undergone significant updates in 2009.

2010 Honda Accord Coupe V6 M6 Review
Monday, November 01, 2010
Honda vehicles have always been at the top of my list, for a variety of reasons. I like the quality of the assembly, their relative reliability, and their great value. However, style and, admittedly, driving enjoyment aren't always up to snuff.

2010 Honda Ridgeline EX-L NAVI Review
Friday, August 20, 2010
Yeah, I know, the Ridgeline has been around since 2006 and has not become the successful mid-size alternative pickup that Honda had hoped, but I've got a hunch that this might change sooner than later. You see, I've spent a considerable amount of time over the last few months behind the wheels of many a pickup, light and heavy duty, and have noticed that they are all heading in one direction: being more things to more people.

2010 Honda Accord EX-L NAVI Review
Tuesday, June 22, 2010
The Accord is about to grow straight out of its size category. We at Auto123.com still consider it a mid-size sedan because it competes against the likes of the Toyota Camry, the Ford Fusion and the Nissan Altima, but in the USA, it's classified by the EPA as a full-size sedan. Yup, the Accord is almost as big as a Crown Vic.

2010 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Review
Sunday, June 06, 2010
Not much changes with the Ridgeline for 2010. It remains a versatile vehicle deserving of another look since being refreshed in 2009.

2010 Honda CR-V EX-L NAVI Review
Tuesday, March 16, 2010
Standing out from the crowd is no small task for compact sport utility vehicles. The competition in this market segment keeps getting wider and fiercer. Yet, at the same time, most entries feature similar aesthetics, making the selection a tough dilemma.

2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L Review
Thursday, March 04, 2010
Minivans have never aroused any great emotion in me. Of course, I'm a responsible father, so I have one in my driveway. How can a good family man and race car driver accommodate his top three passions -- his son, his sweetie and his steering wheel?

2010 Honda Accord Crosstour EX-L V6 NAVI Review
Thursday, March 25, 2010
I don't know for sure what to call the new 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour and, frankly, neither do the company's reps. Halfway between a sedan and a wagon, the misleading configuration even hints at a coupe -- which it isn't. As for its massive, Grendizer-style nose, it looks like it was ripped off from some rugged 4x4. Why such a drag show?

2010 Honda CR-V EX-L NAVI Review
Sunday, January 17, 2010
Three times this week I've piled my teenage son and a smattering of his friends and related gear into the CR-V for a day trip to a local ski hill. On all three occasions, I have grown more appreciative of Honda's compact crossover SUV.

2010 Honda Crosstour EX-L 4WD Review
Tuesday, January 05, 2010
First we went crazy for SUVs built on truck platforms, then we fell for crossovers based on car platforms, and now it appears that we'll go gaga over 4-wheel-drive (4WD) 5-door hatchbacks mimicking sports coupes.

2009 Honda Civic EX-L Sedan Review
Sunday, November 08, 2009
There are few cars on the road today that have the brand image and value that the Civic has. Everybody knows what a Civic is. When someone who doesn't know much about cars has to buy one, a Civic often comes to mind during the shopping process. If everybody's got one, it must be good, right?

2009 Honda Accord EX-L Review
Tuesday, October 13, 2009
If you're over 50, you can't help but be amazed by the major evolution of the Honda Accord over the last 30 years or so. In 1976, the Accord was positioned as the largest car in the Japanese automaker's lineup... even though it was the size of a 2009 Civic and aimed at budget-minded consumers!

2009 Honda Ridgeline EX-L NAVI Review
Thursday, August 27, 2009
Pickup trucks are the most popular type of vehicle in North America. It's a lucrative segment for the domestic automakers, and outsiders that try to steal some sales away from them aren't finding it very easy. Toyota and Nissan have even built assembly plants in the USA to produce their Tundra and Titan full-size pickups, both of which are selling below expectations.

2009 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD Review
Tuesday, September 01, 2009
Life is full of surprises, but some particular things are completely devoid of them. Most compact SUVs are built to satisfy the basic needs of a small family, like getting to and from the day-care, go out on weekend trips and go shopping, and head up to the grandparents for some kid spoiling.

2009 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Navi Review (video)
Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Trucks exist that can tow a fifty-foot boat while hauling a quad, seating five people and leaving enough room behind for a few cases of pop and some fishing gear. The Honda Ridgeline isn't one of these trucks -- but for the day-to-day workload many pickup owners face, it offers appreciable flexibility, convenience and comfort.

2008 Honda CR-V EX-L Review
Wednesday, October 01, 2008
The Honda CR-V isn't the most popular compact SUV in Canada. That title goes to the Ford Escape. However, the diminutive Honda has been #2 in its segment for the past few years. Sign of its ongoing popularity, for which the rising fuel prices are no doubt partly responsible, it's ahead of the Toyota RAV4, the Jeep Patriot and the Nissan Rogue.

2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Review
Monday, September 08, 2008
It's not easy being a mid-size, two-door coupe these days. Chevy's Monte Carlo got its final pit stop last year, while Pontiac is still selling the G6 Coupe, and Nissan recently added a coupe version of its popular Altima. However, you can pretty much count the Accord Coupe's competition on one hand.

2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Review
Sunday, June 15, 2008
Prior to its market introduction, the all-new 2008 Honda Accord made many skeptics out of auto journalists (myself included). After all, you can't redesign such a popular car with so many qualities without potentially alienating some fans. Still, there were a couple of aspects that needed to be improved, such as sportiness. Most will agree that the Accord did not offer the most spirited driving experience in the world.

2008 Honda Accord EX-L Review (video)
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
Honda designers have finally shown us what they're capable of. With the new Civic, the transformation was original and well executed. And while the automaker's best-selling car in North America, the Accord, has been redesigned a little more conservatively, the final product is nonetheless sleek and sharp-looking. Larger than ever and displaying a wider stance, it can once again rival other midsize sedans in terms of styling and visual execution.

2008 Honda Accord EX-L Navi Review
Sunday, May 18, 2008
Everyone in my immediate family drives a Honda Accord. My parents each have an EX- one a 1996, the other a 2000. My brother drives a sporty 1992 EX-R, and combined they've got well over three quarters of a million kilometers clocked. I'm the odd man out with a Nissan 240SX, but the rest of the gang loves the economy, ride and smoothness the Accord reliably delivers each and every day. The fleet was joined recently by the 2008 model for a test, and the added insight from a family of Accord owners would be welcomed.

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
