2012 Acura TSX V6 Tech Review
Monday, February 27, 2012
Competition in the compact, luxury sedan segment has been fierce the last few years. The beneficiaries of the rivalry are those in the market for a high-value upscale sports sedan. Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi now offer entry-level sedans that compete bumper-to-bumper with the TSX, which is unchanged for 2012.

Build quality has come a long way
Friday, February 24, 2012
As I photographed this week's tester, I marveled at the precision of its fit and finish. The vehicle, a 2012 Acura TSX, may be an upscale ride but with a base MSRP of $31,890, it's far from an expensive premium marque.

2011 Acura TSX V6 Tech Review
Thursday, October 20, 2011
The TSX is a mid-size sports sedan from Acura that debuted in 2003. Until recently, it was only available with a moderately powerful 4-cylinder engine. In 2010, however, Acura wedged a potent V6 into the engine bay of the cut and chiseled 4-door, and it's this expressive mill that powers my tester. But as the saying goes, "beauty before brawn," so let's talk style and design.

2011 Acura TSX Tech Review
Sunday, August 07, 2011
Sometimes it really is hard to see the forest for the trees. And whether you understand that saying or not, you still get the concept that looking past something's appearance is often the hardest thing to do. I learned that this week with the 2011 Acura TSX.

TSX wagon will not be coming to town
Monday, October 18, 2010
It was announced late last week, although as far as we could tell, not formally, that the exciting prospect of the coming of an Acura wagon to Canada, was not to be. At least, not for the moment.

2010 Acura TSX V6 TECH Review
Thursday, July 08, 2010
As a sporty, 4-cylinder luxury sedan, the TSX is hard to beat. Despite its recent redesign and slight increase in size, it offers a dynamic driving experience in an elegant, if a little conservative, package.

2010 Acura TSX V6 TECH Review
Sunday, January 03, 2010
How do you make a sporty, compact sedan a whole lot sportier and far more refined? Simple - drop in a jewel of an engine. By substituting the base 2.4-litre 4-banger for the optional 3.5-litre V6, TSX buyers will acquire all the virtues of the existing car but with spirit that until now, wasn't found underfoot.

2010 Acura TSX V6 at the Vancouver Auto Show
Monday, March 30, 2009
As competent as the Acura TSX is in the corners, it has never been a powerhouse on the straightaways. Relying upon four cylinders instead of six to put a little fire under the hood has unjustly punished this beautifully balanced performer. But a bank of Acura engineers appealed the sentence and the bench has rendered a decision in favour of the fast lane.

A V6 mill for the 2010 Acura TSX
Thursday, February 12, 2009
This week, Acura silenced a number of critics who question some of its cars. Often criticized for the lack of power in the TSX, Acura is now bestowing upon it an optional 3.5-litre, 280-hp V6 stemming from the TL. What's more, the SH-AWD version will inherit a manual transmission.

2009 Acura TSX Review
Sunday, September 14, 2008
The fully-revamped 2009 Acura TSX is the first sedan to fall victim to the new design language of Honda's premium division. Not so long ago, Acura had arguably no specific identity in terms of styling. However, with the introduction of the second-generation MDX, not to mention some of its latest concepts, the brand's personality now carries a strong sense of purpose -- perhaps too strong. In my opinion, the new TSX looks more like a Grendizer caricature than a stylish automobile.

2009 Acura TSX Review
Friday, August 15, 2008
We tested the Technology version, the model equipped with a whole range of goodies sure to please inveterate gadget lovers: navigation system, reverse camera, Bluetooth-enabled sound system and voice recognition. In these days of exorbitant gas prices, and seeing as the vehicle uses Super fuel, the Acura TSX's powerful 4-cylinder engine is appreciated.

2009 Acura TSX Technology Review
Sunday, August 31, 2008
A couple of months ago, I joined Acura and a gaggle of fellow journalists at the Canadian launch of the completely new Acura TSX. Branded as a 2009 model, I delivered my "first impressions" of this compact sport sedan on April 11th this year. I've now had the opportunity to live with the new TSX for a week, enabling me to conjure-up more in-depth thoughts and findings on Acura's latest pride and joy.

2009 Acura TSX First Impressions
Thursday, May 29, 2008
If you've read road tests on the Acura TSX since its introduction in 2004, you probably know already that it's immensely appreciated by the automotive press. As a matter of fact, the TSX won several awards in its first couple of years. However, sales of the sedan have been modest. In 2007, just a little over 2,000 units found homes, and that's about 700 less than the year before. Acura had to do something to keep the car competitive in a tougher (and growing) segment.

Acura TSX Pricing announced
Monday, April 21, 2008
Acura's TSX will enter the 2009 model year larger, more agile and more stylish than the previous generation vehicle. TSX will be positioned as a 'desirable and affordable car for entry-premium car buyers', and compete largely with the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Lexus IS. The new-generation Acura TSX was debuted at the 2008 New York International Autoshow, and features a makeover that lends the car a meaner and sharper look as well as a refreshed cockpit.

2009 Acura TSX First Impressions Review
Friday, April 11, 2008
"Retain current owners and attract new buyers," was the mantra leading the charge to redevelop Acura's luxury sports sedan. In addition to superior curb appeal, the 2009 TSX capitalizes on all that was right with the first generation of this front-wheel-drive compact, rendering it more agile and better refined.

2008 Acura TSX Navi Review
Wednesday, April 09, 2008
It has the size of a Mercedes-Benz C300, a more powerful engine than the BMW 323i and a stylishly understated appearance that can rival the Audi A4. Yet, the Acura TSX has never enjoyed the same kind of success as these three German rivals. Introduced at the 2003 NAIAS in Detroit, the TSX sedan has been given very different roles in Canada and the U.S. Out here, it aimed to bridge the gap between the former EL (now called CSX) and the larger TL. Across the border, however, the absence of the EL made the TSX Acura's new entry-level model.

New York Auto Show: Acura
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
According to the Japanese luxury brand, the new Acura TSX is larger, more agile and sportier than the first-generation model. Under the hood, the new TSX will keep a 2.4-liter inline-4, which will develop 201 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. But apart from the numbers, Acura promises a more usable power range, which was one of the first TSX's shortcomings. To achieve this, the engine gets a higher compression ratio, revised valve timing and improved intake and exhaust gas flow.

2009 Acura TSX will be shown at New York auto show
Tuesday, February 12, 2008
The next generation Acura TSX will debut at the 2008 New York International Autoshow. Acura, Honda's luxury and technology division, made the announcement earlier today alongside the release of a photo of the new model. The pic suggests a makeover that naturally evolves the TSX into a meaner, sharper looking machine. In all, it's considerably different- though not inappropriate as a mid-sized Acura sedan. Acura says that the new model will go on sale this spring and feature numerous advancements in styling, technology, safety and performance.

2007 Acura TSX NAVI Road Test
Tuesday, April 10, 2007
Let's talk openly. Without getting into a fiery debate, I think we can all agree on one thing: we easily accommodate certain things that come from foreign countries, while others seem scandalous. If we wouldn't allow any kind of accommodation, we wouldn't bust our belts in Chinese buffets, we wouldn't decorate our houses with the Feng Shui technique, and we would find our adrenaline rushes elsewhere than by playing Russian Roulette.

2006 Acura TSX Navi Road Test
Tuesday, November 21, 2006
Sometimes a car has to do it all: be comfortable enough for family trips, safe for the kids, attractive enough to fit in nicely with the parking lot hierarchy at work, and quick enough to satisfy Ma or Pa when they get a few minutes behind the wheel alone.

2006 Acura TSX Road Test
Monday, August 28, 2006
Looking for an Audi A4 2.0T? Look no further than the 2006 Acura TSX. In many ways these two entry-level premium sports sedans are alike; in many ways however they differ. Both are propelled through their front wheels (unless Audi Quattro is ordered) by a 4-banger powerplant of similar size and potency, and each car is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission unless an automatic is opted for- but why would you? Both cars have beautifully constructed cabins and optimal build quality throughout. They both look great, although here I give the A4 the edge but ever so slightly. Both cars exhibit excellent handling prowess, as they should. And both cars are in the same starting blocks when it comes to price, yet I would argue that Acura stuffs more standard content into its little sled than Audi.

2006 Acura TSX Road Test
Friday, July 21, 2006
You are thinking to yourself: "Here is another luxury car that I will not be able to afford..." Think again. The Acura TSX is one of the best kept secrets in the lower lying regions of the luxury car segment. Introduced in 2004, the TSX replaced, in certain respects, the Integra sedan. From the moment it hit the streets, the TSX garnered a number of awards from the Automotive Press and routinely found itself on some sort of "Best Picks" list. To say that Acura (Honda) had and have a smash hit on their hands would be overstating the situation.

2005 Acura TSX
Thursday, July 14, 2005
The entry level luxury car segment is now into its teens. I say this because just over 20 years ago, other than the Audi 4000, BMW 320i and, of course, the Cadillac Cimarron, this category of cars had very few players. Between the late 80's and very early 90s, the Japanese car makers noticed a hole that needed to be filled. Enter the Acuras, Infinitis and Lexus' offerings along side the Germans and a real category was born.

2004 Acura TSX Road Test
Monday, April 14, 2003
At first glance Acura's new TSX hardly looks ready to battle its V6 powered competitors. A 2.4-L 4-cylinder engine compared to 3.0 and 3.5-liter 6-cylinder power? Come on Acura, who's going to buy into that? Me? After a full day scaling Acura's latest up and down serpentine mountain roads, running circles around a hairpin twisting coastal highway, stretching to stratospheric speeds along a sweeping four-lane freeway and finally, through no choice of our own

All-New Acura TSX luxury sport sedan debuts
Monday, January 06, 2003
TORONTO (January 5, 2003) ? The all-new 2004 Acura TSX luxury sport sedan made its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit today, adding to Acura's lineup a luxury sports sedan to compliment Acura's popular RSX sports coupe and 3.2 TL luxury performance sedan. It also marks the first use of side curtain airbags by an Acura product in Canada. "The TSX is designed to compete with the best luxury sport sedans from Europe and Japan," said Dave Gardner, Acura's National Sales Manager for Canada.
