Canada's Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, created in 2011, is set to be back in 2012, but bigger.
Added to the returning Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (former Mosport) and Calabogie venues are trips to Mont-Tremblant and Montreal's own circuit Gilles-Villeneuve for the F1 race.
Upwards of 20 drivers are expected to field 911s throughout the year, including 2011 champion Perry Bortolotti. Returnees also include Québec's Martin Harvey.
New to the series will be ALMS LMPC star Kyle Marcelli, 2011 Canadian Touring Car champion Étienne Borgeat and regional racer and SportsCar Boutique owner Ilker Starck.
The season kicks off May 15-17 at the Victoria Day SpeedFest with presentation of the first of two Porsche Cup rounds held at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
