One of just six 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadsters ever built will be auctioned on June 26th during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K, Bonhams announced.
The car has never been driven and belonged to an anonymous Dutch collector, who saw it as an investment. His gamble is about to pay off, as this 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster could fetch between £1.4-£1.8 million (approx. $2.6-$3.4 million CAD), according to the Telegraaf.
One of the things that make the 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster so special, beyond its outlandish supercar looks, is the 6.9L V12 engine under the hood. Producing 604 horsepower and 572 lb-ft of torque, it supposedly can reach 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
