Kelley Blue Book has just published its Best Green Cars list for 2015, and once again the U.S., Japan, and Germany are almost equally represented.
More than just a compilation of the most fuel-efficient vehicles, the list includes a wide variety of standouts, each with its own appealing mix of efficiency, practicality and price.
For the second year in a row, the BMW i3 takes top honours with 0-100km/h acceleration in just over seven seconds and an all-electric range of about 130km. It offers an optional gasoline engine that acts as a generator, in essence nearly doubling the car’s range.
Kelley Blue Book's 10 best green cars of 2015 are:
- BMW i3
- Volkswagen e-Golf
- Nissan LEAF
- Toyota Prius
- Honda Accord Hybrid
- Tesla Model S
- Chevrolet Volt
- Toyota Camry Hybrid
