2. The Cars That Ate Paris
A semi-comic, semi-horror Australian movie that was released in 1974, The Cars That Ate Paris presents a fictional town where citizens intentionally arrange accidents involving outsiders driving through. The wreckages are salvaged and modified into demolition vehicles, while crash survivors are taken to the town’s hospital for lobotomies with power tools.
The movie features a lethal looking porcupined Volkswagen Beetle and plenty of other mutant vehicles of destruction.
