The WorldWide Web has become instrumental in communications all over the globe. Its popularity is such that you can now have access to the Internet from almost anywhere: hotels, cafés, airports, etc. In a few months, you'll even be able to surf the web inside your car.

Chrysler LLC teammed up with Autonet Mobile, a pioneer of wireless Internet technology, to offer a new system called uconnect web, transforming your Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle into a mobile WiFi "hot spot".

Available in August as a dealer-installed Mopar accessory, uconnect web delivers continuous Internet connectivity inside a 30-meter radius. Access is secured and compatible with every operating system supporting WiFi, including Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris.

Chrysler announced the availability of uconnect web in Canada and the United States. South of the border, this router module will carry a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $449. The U.S. dealer installation is estimated at approximately $35-$50 and Autonet Mobile will offer wireless Internet account service at $29 a month.
