Review:
The Nissan Frontier SE V6 is an amazing truck. Infact so amazing on my first test drive at the dealership I got a job as a sales consultant for a nissan dealership. Nine months after taking the job I purchased my own Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SE V6.
The Truck comes with all of the space for a family of 4 and fabulous 4x4 capabilities that I have tested to the max. The 4 wheel ABLS keeps the truck moving forward in the most difficult traction situations. One upgrade I recommend is an upgrade of tires, the compound is great for summer driving but becomes too hard in cold weather conditions.
The 4.0L V6 is an amazing engine. Being in automotive sales I've been given the oportunity to drive all of the compitition. The frontier leaves all of them in its dust 0-60 and in highspeed highway tests.
Gas milage for the Frontier can be managed if you keep it easy on the pedal. The 265 hp makes you want to feel the acceleration all the time, its quite addictive. After a short break-in time advertised gas millage is easy to acheive with a light foot.
As for styling, Its what turned me on the the Frontier. The wide fender flares and and chunky body lines match the Frontiers agressive perfomance with a looks to kill. Inside the cabin a simple layout offers easy access to all insterment controls. An upgrad to stearing wheel mounted audio controls in this trim leave would have been a great selling feature.
What don't I like about the 2006 Nissan Frontier SE V6. The rear fenders bulge so much rock chips my form if you drive on gravel roads. No skid plates although you can buy these and add for offroad protection.
What do I like about it? There's not too much not too love. A truck with tonnes of power and tourque, Great looks, fabulous performance, and the best utility bed in the truck market. Nissan has done a fabulous job with the splay-in bedliner and utilitrack system.
If you want a truck to haul your toys, carry your family, and have alot of fun along the way. Then there is no other truck on the market for me. Great job Nissan.
