2009 Nissan Murano

Thinking of buying a crossover be sure to drive the Murano

Great vehicle. I have enjoyed every minute of ownership. It handles over a long haul like a luxury automobile. I love all the features and that was one of the reasons I bought this one. I have owned Infinity (3) in the past and this Nissan product did not disappoint me. Having driven 39 different automobiles in my lifetime this is by far the best all around vehicle I have owned. The seats are very comfortable and the adjustable steering wheel is a treat. I love the voice control for phone, map, direction, etc. the automatic wipers are also real treat. So is the memory seat. I would like to have had air cooled seats. The visibility is a little hard to get used to (front end). It is hard to judge where it is. The driver's seat needs to have another adjustment option. straight up and down is needed. I would like to have the side mirrors light up when turning. I would like to see more interior colour options and the availability of a dark plumb metallic exterior (small points). Needs curb turning lights
The air-conditioning/heating still isn't a true climate control. Set it at 70 degrees and it should stay at that temp. It's hard to keep coll and not freeze or warm and not roast. It isn't a true Climate control. The passangers seat should be an 8-way power like the driver's seat. It also needs the lumbar support adjustment. The radio is hardly a stereo system and certainly not a surround sound system. The dash is very noisy when the car is cold. Overall I reate the vehicle a 9.75. I would recommevd it to anyone considering buying one.

We purchased the 09 Murano at the end of Apr/beginning May and have been very pleased with the car. It is a very sweet ride - literally. Smooth, muscular, bulging, it is a car that my wife drives with confidence regardless of weather and road condition. It's very distinctive shilouette and front grill and rear end garners appreciative looks wherever we drive. Dampening the worst potholes, keeping the unwanted road noise out, the Murano is an extremely civilized ride that hearkens more to a vehicle of the Infiniti class than Nissan. Quality materials used throughout, inside and out, fit is tight. Love the nice touches the car has: automated sun roof, rear lift gate, rear folding seats. Push button start wins cool points, 6 CD changer and sound system is absolutely top rated. Only downside to this vehicle, as can be expected, is the mileage. While not abyssmal, it is in the mid to high range but hey, what can you expect from an SUV? Would love to see this in a hybrid, like they did for the Ford Escape or the Toyota Highlander. This is a way better looking car than either of them and is a superior ride, IMHO, so making a hybrid version especially with today's gas prices would be quite the coup. This is our first Nissan Murano and something tells me it won't be our last. Great car to date, we are very happy with the vehicle.
