A spectator died, Saturday during a VLN endurance race at the Nurburgring.
A car went airborne in the "Flugplatz" section of the Nordschleife and landed passed the catch fencing into the crowd. Several others were injured. Driver Jan Mardenborough was taken to hospital for routine checks. But he was reportedly seen walking after the crash. "The VLN and the organisers are deeply saddened by the accident, and their thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims," said a press release. The race was stopped after the incident and wasn't restarted.
