The most prestigious Formula 1 race of the season, the Monaco Grand Prix, will be held this weekend on the narrow and twisty streets of the Principauté.
Interestingly, Niki Lauda, today’s non-executive chairman of Mercedes AMG, won this race 40 years ago. Driving for Ferrari, Lauda won the 1975 Monaco Grand Prix ahead of two Brazilians Emerson Fittipaldi and Carlos Pace. This weekend’s race in Monaco will feature the only all-new tire compound of 2015 as Pirelli introduce a brand new version of their red-marked supersoft rubber.
