Valtteri Bottas could run a shakedown of the Renault-powered FW34 in Spain on Thursday as scheduled.
The Finnish driver was ready for action at Idiada, south-west of Barcelona, for a day of filming.
However, the bad weather prevented the car to be run for the first time.
The regular race drivers, Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna, will officially reveal the 2012 Williams at Jerez next week. The shakedown of the new FW34 will happen immediately after.
