The Palais Omnisports of Paris Bercy will be the stage of the ERDF Kart Masters for electric karts on Saturday 10 and Sunday, December 11.
The karts used will be provided by Sodikart. Electric propulsion of Sodi STX is the result of extensive studies done by the R&D team of Sodikart in partnership with Drive Motion. The brushless motor of 65 V relies on an internal rotor and permanent magnets. It produces an output of 25kW (34 horsepower), which is about the equivalent to a classic kart racing engine. The electronic controller - the heart of the power management system - is cooled down by liquid. Divided into two packs placed in the sidepods of the karts, the batteries use technology NCM (cobalt nickel manganese) known for its high discharge capacity. In its racing configuration, the kart can run for 15 minutes with a recharge time of 30 minutes. Top speed exceeds 100 km/h for a weight of 115 kg, just slightly higher than that of a petrol racing kart. Recent Articles
