The Russ Bond Agency, Inc. (RBA) announced today that the 2nd Annual CKN 200 presented by indoorkartingnews.com will be run at GPKartways on March 22, 2008. "We are very happy to be back at GPKartways again this year for the CKN 200, and to have the event presented by indoorkartingnews.com" Russ Bond said. "We have some changes in store this year to make the event better than ever." The 2nd Annual CKN 200 presented by indoorkartingnews.com will feature more time in the karts for all team drivers. This year, every registered driver will participate in a unique two-driver qualifying system. Each team will participate in two qualifying races with two drivers. This year a driver change will be required during the qualifying session. "It gives the team a chance to practice the driver changes under race conditions," Bond said. "Also, we wanted all the drivers on a given team to get a chance to race before the finals." Back by popular demand this year is the unique win-and-move-up system for the B and C finals. The team that wins the C final, will be placed at the back of the B final grid. The winner of the B final will then be added to the back of the CKN 200. "This was very popular last year," Bond said. "This year, it's a rule, and a given team could run one, two or all three finals...but they'd have to be good. "We have some very exciting features including a webcast of the event in the works, and for sure we will build on the momentum of last year's race. Also this year, Makos Group has joined us as a clothing sponsor," Bond added. This year, the CKN 200 presented by indoorkartingnews.com will kick off with a drivers meeting at 7:45 AM, then qualifying at 8:15 AM, with the last final wrapping up by 1:30 PM.
