Dan Wheldon, the 2005 Indianapolis and series title winner will remain with Panther Racing for the IndyCar 2010 upcoming season.
The Briton, who started his IRL career at the en d of the 2002 season, will be back even tough he had quite a difficult time in 2009 when he was unable to threaten the dominant Penske and Ganassi teams. Wheldon's only podium finish was second at Indy and he could only managed 10th in the standings. That lack of form led to speculation that the 31-year-old would look elsewhere for a 2010 seat, but Panther has now confirmed that Wheldon will be retained.
