The first edition of the Enduro of Champions Pole-Position Speed HD indoor karting event was held April 25 at Kart-O-Mania, Montreal. Twelve teams entered the grueling and exhausting six-hour race, including one from Auto123.com.
Many of Quebec's best road racers, rally drivers and kart competitors took part in the event sponsored by Speed TV HD.
Team CASDI Rally Defi started from pole position and quickly built an impressive lead over their pursuers. The team was made of quick, reliable and determined young racers helped by experienced rally driver Sylvain Erickson. The team completed 826 laps of the circuit (a total distance of 402.3 km) to win the race and set the fastest lap. Team Phoenix/Flagworld arrived in second place, 9 laps adrift. Poleposition.ca came in third, 12 laps down to the winners. Team Auto123.com, made of Bertrand Godin, Nigel Heron, Luc Sauriol, Ronald Arsenault et René Fagnan, finished 5th, just 7 seconds down to 4th place. Photos: Philippe Champoux - Auto123.com
