Autodrome St. Eustache’s owner and promoter Alan Laborsse announed on Saturday that 1997 Formula World Champion
Jacques Villeneuve will make his debut in the
NASCAR Canadian Tire Series July 11 on St. Eustache’s oval.
Villeneuve, who won the prestigious Indianapolis 500 in 1995, agreed to compete following a private test held on May 10 aboard Andrew Ranger’s Ford Fusion.
“In Round 4 of the series, Jacques Villeneuve will drive the No 7 Ford Fusion prepared by the Jacombs Racing Team, and will be Andrew Ranger’s teammate in what is undoubtedly an impressive line-up of Quebec driving talent,” Labrosse said.
