Alex Tagliani will have to wait another week before he gets behind the wheel of Randy McDonald’s car No.81 and instead of racing in this week-end’s Nationwide race in Texas, the Canadian will be in Phoenix next week.
McDonald himself called “Tag” to ask him if it would be all right to postpone the Texas event since the team would prefer to have Tagliani’s input on a shorter track like the one in Phoenix. The IRL driver has a solid reputation as a guy who can help a team fine tuned a car. But for Tagliani, Phoenix will be a new ball game since the only experience he has on the tri-oval was way back when he made his debut in the CART series years ago and he drove only during testing, never in a race.
