2008 Subaru Tribeca

It has been 5 months that I became a Subaru owner for the first time. So I have not had the pleasure of winter driving as of yet nor do I stray off the paved roads. I do have two small boys who love the dvd player in the rear seat, it works well and easy for them to use. Cargo is easy to load, this is my first wagon/truck/suv so I am enjoying that usage. Also the third row are very usable for the kids when we bring grandma and grandpa along. Recent road trip to Ottawa had 5adults and 2 children plus some cargo and averaged 22mpg while holding 120km/hr not bad at all. City driving stop and go yields about 16-17mpg if you are careful with the gas pedal. Very good vehicle just lack of telescoping wheel makes getting comfortable a little tough. Also note that the traditional resting spot for your elbows in the door or frame or middle rest are somewhat lower causing a lack of resting position, that is your arms are constantly hanging or feel outstretched, a surprise given the Japanese attention to ergonomics. All in all driving expirience has been good and passengers find it to be very good also. I would recommend this as a family vehicle.
