The 2006 MINI Cooper Classic holds at $23,500, while the MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S and the MINI Cooper Convertible and MINI Cooper S Convertible increase slightly to $25,900, $30,600, $31,600 and $36,600 respectively.
Production of 2006 MINI models starts in September, arriving in Canadian MINI showrooms as early as October.
MINI has now made the popular John Cooper Works performance upgrade available as a 2006 factory-installed option on the MINI Cooper S. In addition to the engine performance upgrade which increases output to 208 horsepower and 180 lbs-ft of torque, the factory installation adds the John Cooper Works sport brake kit with 16" brake discs and a limited-slip differential. The new package will retail for $5900. MINI Canada will continue to offer the dealer-installed John Cooper Works engine performance kit along with the expanded line of John Cooper Works tuner accessories.
