Richmond Hill, Ontario – The Ford F-Series was Canada's best-selling vehicle in 2005, defeating the Honda Civic by only 1,055 units. Both were tops among light trucks and passenger cars, respectively.

According to data released by industry analyst Dennis DesRosiers, it is the first time since records were first kept in 1978 that a passenger car has come close to being Canada's top-selling vehicle. The Ford F-Series sold 69,549 throughout the year, to the Civic's 68,494.

Mazda3,
Chevrolet Impala,
Pontiac G6,
Toyota Yaris,
Pontiac Pursuit and

For 2005 overall, the top ten passenger cars, in order, were the Honda Civic,

Chevrolet Impala.
