Côté fiabilité, c'est certain que ce véhicule n'est pas aussi solidement construit que ce que l'on trouve chez Honda ou Toyota, mais bon.

L'affaire c'est qu'il désire un véhicule pour 10 ans, Mazda 5 et le Kia Rondo, hummmm pas sûr que je le "guesserais''.

en 2008, c'est l'entretien de la voiture qui va faire la difference, pas la voiture elle-meme.

Personnellement, je trouve que les Matrix/Vibe semblent les plus appropriés.

Très économes en essence, ce que l'Impreza n'est pas réellement.
Espace cargo assez comparable à votre Esteem, 561L.
Frais d'entretien probablement les moins élevés de l'industrie. (un système 4x4 comme la Impreza coûte des $$ à long terme)
Assurances probablement très basses aussi.
Fiabilité assurée pour les 10 prochaines années, c'est l'une des voitures les moins risquées sur le marché.
Dans 10 ans, elle vaudra encore quelques $$$!

Es-ce possible que tu specifie la grandeur de coffre que tu a besoin car je suis pas sur qu'une porte rentre dans certains modele enumere. Si tu doit transporter une porte, malheureusement c'est d,une van ou une mini-van que tu aurais besoin.

Saturn contemplated selling a U.S. version of the Opel Zafira minivan here several years ago, but dropped the idea. Mazda introduced its four-cylinder 5 here last year, and it made the first cut in our Car of the Year competition. Now Kia has decided its European-style minivan, the Carens, is ready for the U.S. market, where it's called the Rondo.

Based on the impressive Optima midsize sedan, the Rondo is much smaller than Dodge Caravans and Honda Odysseys and such and, like the first Odyssey, has four conventional doors.

When the optional third row is up, cargo area is virtually eliminated, and you've got two fairly tight seats. Still, for smaller and/or younger families that use the third row occasionally, the Rondo offers maneuverability and fuel mileage that conventional minivans dream of.

Our preproduction test car had good road manners with a smooth ride, but just a bit of excessive road noise. Dynamically, it's inferior to the Mazda5, and it needs about a second more for 0-to-60 mph, although the Kia easily keeps up with the smaller Dodge Caliber. It's also a couple-grand less than the Mazda. The comfy seats and their flexibility--second and third rows fold flat--are the standout features of the Rondo. The dashboard may be odd-looking, but it consists of quality materials, another example of the new Kia/Hyundai juggernaut catching up with well-established brands.

We like this segment of minivan, and we find the Rondo better suited for its purpose than the Mazda5. The Rondo doesn't feel as refined and advanced as some other new Hyundai/Kia models, including its platform-sibling, the Optima. But it jumps to the top of a minute (so far) class and represents great sensibility in a class where sensibility is the most important quality.

Mini-minivan or cute crossover?

As the automotive scene evolves, it's getting harder find a neat, tidy category for every vehicle. This may have started with the minivan and sport/utility, but has continued from there with sport/utility trucks and, most recently, the crossover. Yet there's a new category, one that currently only contains two vehicles: the compact minivan-like crossover wagon. For 2007, the Kia Rondo joins the Mazda5 in this exclusive group. The Rondo is based on the Optima sedan platform. Like a minivan, it seats seven (five is the base passenger layout), but, unlike a minivan, it uses standard doors in all four spots instead of two sliding ones along the rear sides.

The minivan/crossover was such a standout at the 2007 Car of the Year event we decided to add one to our long-term fleet. Our topline EX came equipped with the optional 2.7-liter V-6 backed by a five-speed automatic, both from the Optima. (The 162-horse, 2.4-liter I-4 is standard.) For those familiar with Kia's minivan, the interior is incredibly familiar and easy to learn. The EX trim level came with many of the features we wanted, such as power windows/doors, heated side mirrors, foglights, six airbags (including full-length side curtains), four-wheel discs with ABS, and Kia's stellar 10-year/100,000-mile warranty(P.S. 5 ans/100 000km au Canada). Our only additions were the Leather Package ($1000), which also comes with heated front seats; the Premium Package ($1200) so we could get the power sunroof and Infinity audio system; and the third-row seat ($500). This brought the total cost to $23,495, an impressive bottom line for a would-be minivan competitor-and a terrific value.

It wasn't long before editors racked up miles on the versatile Rondo. It's seen more than 5000 miles of highway in only two months, visiting Mammoth Lakes and northern Nevada, among other destinations. It's even been to the track, where the V-6 Rondo reached 60 mph in 8.9 seconds and finished the quarter mile in 16.8 at 83.3 mph. Braking was a respectable 132 feet from 60 mph. These numbers hold up well against its main competitor: The 2.3-liter inline-four-powered Mazda5 goes from 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds, completes the quarter mile in 16.6 at 84.6 mph, and brakes from 60 in 137 feet.

The Rondo could potentially lure buyers who are eyeing minivans and crossovers. We're looking forward to finding out if this vehicle is ready to handle the demanding needs of these shoppers.

Mark Williams took the Rondo on a roundtrip run from Los Angeles to San Francisco to "load up a soon-to-be college grad with all her clean clothes (stored in a 33-gallon garbage bag), a newly built book shelf, athletic gear, a full backpack, stereo equipment, and two suitcases."

Essentially a mini minivan, the Rondo allowed Williams and his crew to utilize "every inch of the flat rear cargo area with all four seats in back folded flat, while still giving us plenty of good visibility out all the rear windows."

Although it's adept at hauling a variety of gear, the Kia is less proficient at transporting a full load of adults: "We drove over to a restaurant with seven passengers, and the engine and suspension felt tapped out-it's clearly not made for adult passengers all of the time."
