Évaluation:
BMW, LEXUS and Infiniti Luxury Hardtop convertibles are the major competitors to the Volvo C-70 about same size all being rear wheel drive, a downer for Canada , Volks EOS is a a tad smaller....
Chrysler 200 is simply a rehash of the old Sebring line but at least being front wheel drive.
Lot of reviewers are carping about the seemingly lack of power of the Volvo C 70 compared to others in this category. This being said, With the general condition of roads here in Quebec, Any inclinations to push the speed and performance envelope seems futile, You are putting chances in causing damage to your cars and yourself. For long distance cruising and enjoying the ride, it's a total winner!
Don't get me wrong, Volvo still is pretty performing, I drive a 2009 which i'm trading in for a C 70 Inscription next month. The former (2009) is about one of the best convertibles I've enjoyed. (had Porsches,BMWs, Mercedes) etc. Volvo is Safe, Practical 2 cars into one. 2009 had no problems except faulty bluetooth apparatus.
Being in a smaller town, Volvo seems to fit better in a class car than driving and showing off in a Mercedes BMW or others.
Besides Porsche 4 wheel drive soft top cabriolet and Audi all soft tops.
It would be nice to have an all wheel drive model in a hardtop convertible.
PS, Volvo's Swedish styling turns heads, Before Bimmers use to do it now, So many of them around (3 Series) and C series Mercedes that they are commonplace.
Volvo service for this past car was simply outstanding. Looking forward to my new ''Inscription''.
