Having nothing to do with the Dodge Aspen of old, the Chrysler Aspen is an upscale version of Dodge's Durango. When the name Chrysler is associated to a product, whe can usually expect a higher level of standard features and better sound suppression. The Aspen is loaded with everything including LED interior lighting, navigation, heated front and rear seats and a rear DVD entertainment system.
Both the 4.7L and 5.7L V8 engines will be offered as will the same 5-speed automatic transmission borrowed from the Durango. The Aspen's exterior appearance is a melange of the 300's front grille, the Crossfire's hood and a Durango front from the fenders rearward.
