The new wagon features a larger body housing numerous revisions to make it sportier, more refined and more rewarding to own than the outgoing model. The most significant change is to the mounting of the powertrain, which now sits farther back in the vehicle's structure to enable more responsive handling. It looks sportier too, with reduced overhangs, sleeker lines and an LED-accented set of Xenon headlamps.

Engines are revised for the new model, seeing the A4 motivated by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 211 horsepower and a significantly improved 258 lb-ft of torque. Optionally available is a 3.2-liter V6 with 265 horsepower and Audi's Valvelift Technology to optimize power and responsiveness. Fuel consumption is also improved and automatic or manual transmissions will be available.

The new Audi A4 goes on sale later this year.
