Jordan Taylor landed his first career pole, Saturday ahead of the Monterey Grand Prix at Laguna Seca. The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP co-driven by brother Ricky Taylor, who claimed the pole two weeks ago on the streets of Long Beach, paced the Prototype field with a time of 1 minute, 18.718 seconds (102.350 mph). "The best thing I think for us is that we have our qualifying car back. I think we were only in the top 3 one time last year,” Jordan Taylor said. “We were always good in the race but struggled in qualifying. It worked in Long Beach, it worked in Daytona, and it worked here.” In GTLM, Dirk Werner became the 15th different pole winner. The former DTM driver ran a lap of 1 minute, 22.362 seconds (97.822 mph) in the No. 24 IHG Rewards Club BMW Z4 GTLM for BMW Team RLL to put his name on the list of pole winners dating back to the 2014 Rolex 24 At Daytona.
