The all-new 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid will bolster the Accord lineup this summer, featuring a more powerful and efficient second-generation two-motor hybrid powertrain that offers class-leading fuel economy ratings.

“The new Honda Accord Hybrid is the ultimate Accord ― the most refined, technologically advanced and, of course, most fuel-efficient in the lineup,” said Dave Gardner, Senior Vice President of Operations, Honda Canada Inc. With the addition of this new hybrid model, we are pleased to offer more options for our customers.”

Based on a highly efficient 2.0L i-VTEC Atkinson-cycle engine, the new hybrid powertrain achieves peak combined output of 212 horsepower and anticipated fuel economy ratings of 4.9/5.1/5.0 L/100km (city/highway/combined). An EV mode allows zero-emission driving for short distances under light loads.

Additionally, the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid carries the substantial upgrades that were made to the entire Accord lineup for the 2016 model year. This includes the 7” Display Audio touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies (Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Warning) ― all offered as standard equipment.

With regard to styling, hybrid-exclusive features include a special aluminum hood and wheels, blue highlighted LED headlights and taillights, and “Hybrid” exterior badging. As for cargo, a more compact hybrid battery pack increases trunk capacity to 382 litres.

Pricing for the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid will be announced at a later date.
