The Boxster Spyder is an amazingly hot roadster. This two-seater is the featherweight member of the Porsche line up, weighing in at just 1,275kgs. The Spyder is 80 kg lighter than the Boxster S. The doors are aluminum and the 19-inch wheels are the lightest that Porsche makes. The biggest cut in weight has come from removing the fully powered, twenty-one kilogram retractable softtop from the Boxster S and replacing it with a very light canvas style roof. It weighs just seven kilograms!
