In the spring of this year, Volkswagen will be offering the all-new Eos to the North-American market. This retractable hardtop coupe will turn heads just about everywhere you go. This vehicle is unique in its segment but sales numbers will probably be limited.
The 5-piece top stows into the cargo area in 25 seconds. The design and functionality of the roof would normally be found in a much higher-end car. Engine selections in the Eos will consist of the 2.0T I-4 and the 3.2L V6. Transmission choices will be between a 6-speed manual and 6-speed sequential manual called DSG.
For the moment, the Eos will be sold alongside the New Beetle Convertible, as they do not target the same clientele.
