The new 2018 Nissan LEAF is easily one of the most anticipated models scheduled to hit the market early in the new year. It is set to arrive at Canadian dealerships in February.
The affordable compact car now offers a longer range (241 km) thanks to a new lithium-ion battery, cutting-edge technologies like the ProPILOT system and the intelligent e-Pedal, as well as a new dynamic design. The new powertrain, meanwhile, provides the car with 147 total horses, or 40 more than the previous version, and 236 lb-ft of torque for improved acceleration.
"We welcome more and more electric vehicles into the competitive landscape, and yet we remain proud to remind show-goers of Nissan's leadership in the EV space…. Just as we revolutionized the world with the LEAF in 2011, again we are changing the way people drive with the 2018 Nissan LEAF, which offers more range, more power, and autonomous drive features.”
- Joni Paiva, president of Nissan Canada
