Cadillac has announced that for the 2019 model-year, it will produce limited special editions of its ATS-V and CTS-V performance models, strictly for the American, Canadian and Middle Eastern markets. The Pedestal Editions are being produced to mark the 15 years of existence of the automaker’s V division.
At the same time, the two models, which will be limited to 300 units produced, mark the end of the third generation of cars made under the V banner.
The Pedestal Editions feature a Bronze Sand Metallic exterior colour offset by black chrome trim and grille surround. The cars will ride on exclusive alloy wheels served by massive red Brembo brakes that are quite impossible to miss. The Carbon Fibre Package, included standard on every 2019 ATS-V Coupe, is also featured in the Pedestal Edition version of the CTS-V.
Inside, the race-inspired seats are designed by RECARO, a true reference in the domain. Robed in leather with micro-suede inserts, these are an absolute highlight of the interior environment. Among the other notable elements are the carbon fibre interior trim with bronze threading and a Performance Data Recorder video-data system with COSWORTH Toolbox driver analysis software, as well as a camera in lieu of the interior rear-view mirror and the latest-generation CUE (Cadillac User Experience) system produced by the manufacturer.
If all of this makes the Pedestal Editions irresistible to you, better not delay in reserving yours. 300 units is a small production run and it’s expected they will be snapped up very quickly – even with the $77,090 USD and $102,590 USD price points attached to them.

As for the current generation of V series cars, the two models that are bidding adieu will be followed by the CT6-V, set to be introduced next year. This model will continue the V tradition of offering elevated performance capabilities, helped by its new 550-hp twin-turbo V8 engine and, for the first time in a V series car, all-wheel drive.
