The F-PACE SVR is coming. Jaguar Canada has released details on its F-PACE model for the 2019 model-year. The model is getting a mid-generation refresh, with esthetic and interior tweaks as well as some additions to the roster of equipment. But the exciting news concerns the debut of a new variant of the F-PACE.
For the first time, a Jaguar SUV will carry the company’s legendary SVR letters. Here are details on the 2019 F-PACE SVR:
The variant will get a 5.0L supercharged V8 generating a whopping 550 hp and, just as eye-opening, 510 lb-ft of torque. This engine will help propel the vehicle from a stop to 100 km/h in only 4.3 seconds, which is downright amazing for an SUV of this size.
The SVR version also gets high-performance suspension elements, sport-tuned steering and larger brake discs. Jaguar has also given its SVR variant distinctive visual cues, like exclusive bumpers front and back, lower body sides and a rear spoiler, which also function to cool the engine, reduce coefficient of drag, and improve stability at high speed. Not to mention, that they also give the F-PACE a more muscular allure.
Inside, the SVR approach is also apparent, with sportier seats offering more support and embossed with SVR badging leading the way. The gear shifter is sportier and looks much like that found in the F-TYPE (there are in lieu of the rotating knob found in other Jaguar models). The SVR’s steering wheel is also unique and features paddle shifter mounted on it.
The SVR version will carry a starting price of $89,900, or $20,00 more than the S version, previously the most expensive F-PACE trim, at $69,000. For the 2019 model-year, the F-PACE will be offered in 10 different variants, with five different engine choices available to buyers.
