2020 Kia Sorento: 10 Things Worth Knowing Straddling present and future

# 3 It’s as simple as the plot of a Fast and Furious movie
But if you don’t want to wait, know that the current Sorento has a dashboard that is resolutely convivial of use. Two elements in particular are sure to please: first, there are a number of good ol’ physical buttons to do the things you want to do manually; and second, the UVO interface on the 7-inch centre screen (which grows to 8 when you select the navigation option) is a pleasant breeze to operate. Yours truly being a genuine luddite in matters of tech, that I managed to connect my phone with no trouble is eloquent proof of the system’s user-friendliness.

# 4 Its design is pre-avant-garde (après-garde?)
From the teased images of the new Sorento, we gather it will feature a thoroughly modernized interior, but we do hope the principle of user friendliness remains. For example, the next edition gets a rotating wheel to switch gears in lieu of a traditional row. Meanwhile the two large side-by-side screens (12.3-inch for the driver data, 10.3 for the infotainment system) are downright sumptuous-looking, and the vents, both in the centre and on the sides, look completely new. These vertical losange-type design elements will play an outside role in bringing the interior look of the Sorento into the 21st century.
