2006 Cadillac STS-V at Toronto

By ,

Not long after GM's introduction of the Seville's replacement, Cadillac sends a hardcore version our way. Proving GM's high-performance intentions and aspirations, the STS-V is directly aimed at the BMW M5, the Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG and Jaguar S-Type R. Motivated by a new 4.4L supercharged V8 putting out 440 hp, the Caddy should make it to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. This is the most powerful production Cadillac ever. Standard features include a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, 18-inch alloy wheels up front and 19 inchers in the rear as well as Brembo brakes.Price: None have been announcedAvailability: No date has been announced Auto123.com's impressions: Even if the STS resembles the controversial CTS a little too much, Cadillac is firmly on the right track. A beautiful interior and big power numbers should make the STS-V very popular amongst die-hard American muscle car lovers... Cadillac DTS Caddy also displayed their new 2006 DTS, which is basically a DeVille with front and rear fascias, and a new name. The new DTS is mechanically the same as the outgoing DeVille.
