What would you call the best handling, most nimble and most powerful Civic to date? An Si of course.

The principal specs that differentiate the Si from the "normal" Civics are a rev-happy 16-valve 2.0L I-4 cylinder sporting Honda's i-VTEC variable valve timing. Output is rated at 197 hp and 139 lb/ft of torque. The only transmission available is a close-ratio 6-speed manual with a helical type limited slip differential. The Civic Coupe shares the same chassis as the Civic sedan , which is Honda's new Global Compact Platform. Torsional rigidity is improved by 35% compared to the previous Si. Other enhancements include variable assist electric power steering, a new MacPherson front strut design and rear multi-link suspension capped off by 17" alloy wheel and performance tires.Pricing begins at $25,880 for the wholly Canadian built Super-Civic.
