2007 BMW Alpina B7 at the Chicago Auto Show

By ,

In order to properly introduce the Alpina name to the North American market, BMW will present the B7 as its first model. And what a car it is: it has gorgeous Alpina-style 21" wheels (245/35ZR21 tires at the front and 285/30ZR21 tires at the rear), a rear deck spoiler, and unique interior and badging. The real piece de résistance is the supercharged DOHC 4.4L V8. It packs a 500 hp and 516 lb/ft of torque punch. O-100 km/h time is rated at 4.9 seconds and top speed is of 300 km/h. To scrub off massive speed, a car needs massive brakes. The B7 has larger discs, high performance pads as well as an aerodynamic package reduces drag to 0.31 cd.
