2007 Hyundai Tiburon voted among sexiest cars, features new Music Catcher stereo

By ,

A decade ago when the Tiburon hit the streets, it was instantly recognized as a youthful sports car with a striking style all its own. It followed nobody, and its fans loved it for that very reason. For 2007, the styling remains largely the same--edgy, sleek and instantly recognizable. Performance is offered up by a choice of 2 engines--namely a 138-horsepower inline-four or a 2.7-litre V6 with 172 ponies. Though many competitors have four-cylinder engines with more punch, the V6 boasts smooth operation and more than adequate thrust for the 2+2.
An interesting new feature for 2007 is the Clarion-powered Music Catcher stereo system which is standard on all models. Similar to other cutting-edge new entertainment systems starting to hit the market, the system plays AM, FM, CD and MP3 formats. There is also an auxiliary input for your iPod, and the Music Catcher can even read SD Memory cards. The entire console is actively illuminated and lights up at night, turning the cabin into a mock nightclub. But wait, it gets better. The system can also store up to 13 CDs worth of music on a built-in hard drive. 4 or 6 speakers are available depending on which model is selected. photo: Hyundai
