The Avenger is basically Dodge's version of the Chrysler Sebring, although much sportier. Dodge has been without a mid-size entry in Canada for eight years, and the new Avenger heavily borrows styling cues from the bigger Charger. Power will come from the same range of engines available in the Sebring. SE and SXT models will get a 173-hp, 2.4-liter inline-4. A 2.7-liter flex-fuel V6 with 189 hp is optional in the SXT. Finally, R/T and R/T AWD models receive a 235-hp, 3.5-liter V6. The 2008 Avenger SE will carry a base price of $21,995.
