Basically untouched since 1998, the Toyota Land Cruiser / Lexus LX is the oldest vehicle in Toyota's entire line-up. The face-lifted LX will dawn a new fascia more in line with modern Lexus vehicles. Do not expect the LX to get smooth flowing lines though.
The real story with the LX will be the addition of Toyota's new 5.7L V8 under the hood of the 5,600 lb plus luxury SUV. Like the Tundra, it will develop 381 hp and be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The LX should be available in showrooms by the end of 2007 as a 2008 model.
