Volkswagen will be unveiling a wagon version of its popular Jetta at the show.In Europe, it's called the Golf Variant. Among available engines is VW's 'Twincharger' TSI, a turbocharged and supercharged 1.4-liter inline-4 that produces 140 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque.
In Canada, however, the Jetta Wagon will get the 2.5-liter inline-5 as the base engine, just like the sedan and the Rabbit hatchback. VW claims 170 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic. Pricing will begin at $24,975.There currently is not 2007 Jetta wagon, and the 2006 version was only available with a diesel TDI engine.
