Today, one week before the new winner is announced, only 7 finalists remain. The 59 journalists from various publications represent 23 different European countries. The much-anticipated list is made up of the following cars (in alphabetical order):1) Alfa Romeo MiTo 2)Citroën C53)Ford Fiesta4) Opel/Vauxhall Insignia 5)Renault Mégane6)Skoda Superb7)Volkswagen GolfInterestingly, for one of the rare times in history, no luxury brands are among the finalists despite the notable presence of BMW, Audi, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz.
