2010 Honda Insight and FC Sport Concept land in Toronto

The resurrected Insight is a Prius-fighter with a lower price. Powered by a 1.3-litre engine mated to a battery pack and a CVT transmission, the combined output is 98 horsepower. The Insight will consume 4.8 L/100 km in the city and 4.5 on the highway.

Two trim levels will be available in Canada; the LX gets 15-inch steel wheels with covers, six airbags, auto climate control, power windows and mirrors and keyless entry. The EX adds 15-inch alloys as well as traction and stability-control systems.Like the Prius , the Insight is a 5-door, 5-passenger hatchback, but Toyota's hybrid is a little bigger in every dimension. The Insight will be on sale in a few weeks.The FC Sport is a 3-seater sports car concept that's powered by hydrogen and was originally unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November. A fuel-cell powertrain feeds an electric motors that's connected to the rear wheels, and the vehicle's configuration allows room for three--the driver gets a center seat while two passenger seats are flanked on each side.
