2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe unveiled in Toronto

A new upscale luxury coupe will arrive in Hyundai showrooms later this year, and it's called the Genesis Coupe . Although it shares no body panels with the Genesis sedan , the coupe shares its rear-wheel drive layout.Power will come from a choice of two engines. The base Genesis Coupe will get a turbo 2.0-litre inline-4 that produces 223 horsepower and 217 lb-ft, while uplevel models get a 24-valve, 3.8-litre V6 that belts out 310 horses and 263 lb-ft. Both engines are fitted to a 6-speed manual, while an optional automatic offers 5 speeds in the 4-cylinder car and 6 in the V6 car.
Traction and stability-control systems will be standard, as are 18-inch alloy wheels. A Brembo brake package will be optional as well as a 19-inch wheel upgrade.A host of modern features will be standard or optional inside the Coupe, including a sound system USB port, heated seats, keyless start and six airbags. Cloth and leather upholstery will both be offered.The Genesis Coupe 2.0T will start at $24,495, while the Coupe 3.8 will start at $32,995.Also in display is the Tucson FCEV that was presented last month at the Montreal Auto Show, a fuel-cell electric vehicle study, and the new Elantra Touring , offered in three trim levels and powered by a 16-valve, 2.0-litre engine that develops 138 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque.
