2010 Jaguar XKR and XFR leap in Toronto

To stay competitive in the high-end luxury segment, Jaguar is updating the engine bays of both the XK and XF models.
2010 Jaguar XFR
The XK Portfolio coupe and convertible, which will be the base models, get a 5.0-litre V8 in replacement of the old 4.2-litre unit, producing 385 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration times are reduced to 5.2 seconds. The revised XKR will feature a supercharged version of the same engine, bolting out 510 horses and 461 lb-ft of torque, good for 0-60 mph times of 4.6 seconds.Both XK trims receive a new front end, LED taillights and a rear lower spoiler. Inside, the JaguarDrive transmission selector that was introduced in the XF sedan will make its way into the XK.The 2010 base XF keeps the 300-hp, 4.2-litre V8, while Premium and new Portfolio versions get the 385-hp, 5.0-litre V8. The XFR is also new and includes the XKR's 510-hp engine that allows the car to sprint to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The R variant also receives a sportier exterior appearance with air intakes and a rear spoiler as well as unique seats and 20-inch alloys.
