Today, Volkswagen officially unveiled the mildly-redesigned 2012 Tiguan and its many new options. The vehicle will launch in North America this August.
Compared with the previous Tiguan, the nose has been restyled to emulate the Touareg's.
While seven different powerplants will be available in Europe, expect to see the same 2.0L TSI engine for 2012. Front-wheel drive and 4MOTION all-wheel drive variants will be offered.
A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG) appears on the options menu along with Lane Assist, Fatigue Detection and XDS electronic differential lock, among others. The latter serves to improve stability.
