Whoever said that SUVs were a dying breed (me…) was somewhat wrong. If the proverbial “truck” aspect of the SUV has died, the large, powerful stance remains. If anything, big and brash continues to be a valid selling argument, and the Jaguar CX-17’s got it all.

Although compared to the Mazda CX-5 by many, the fact remains this is a Jag. The rear taillightss seem lifted from the F-Type and the XFR-S. The reason for its presence at the show was to see if Jag lovers were willing to sport an SUV in showrooms. I say do it. Porsche did it. It’ll work for Jag and make the company lotsa money.
