Volvo Concept Coupé
I love it when manufacturers look to the past for inspiration. This may explain my love for the Audi Quattro concept… In this case, the superb Concept Coupé takes its cues from the equally superb P1800 from the ‘60s. It may not be obvious to look at it, but the Concept Coupé is a window into Volvo’s future.
The first Volvo product that will benefit from the concept’s design is the next XC90. Although a very different type of product, similar lines and visual hints will be found. In the meantime, the Concept Coupé features a hybrid powertrain that includes a super- and turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. Output is rated for the gas and electric motors at about 400 horsepower and in excess of 440 lb-ft of torque.
