Pros: The lavish interior of the Jaguar XJ is full of premium touches and amenities, while the exterior is oh-so classy. Moreover, driving feels sporty thanks in large part to a selection of muscular engines.

Cons: While this is a stunning vehicle inside and out, it’s starting to age with the recent introduction of the stunning F-Type and new XE as its siblings, now outshining it.

2015 Jaguar XJ Price and Fuel Economy: There are three models available in the Jaguar XJ lineup, and each is offered in a short wheelbase (SWB) and long wheelbase (LWB) format. So, essentially there are six prices to gander at. And they are as follows:

With three powertrain options, the fuel economy numbers range from 14.6L/100km in the city to 15.8L/100km. And on the highway, those numbers vary from 6.6L/100km to 10.2L/100km.

Improvements and Changes: For 2015, the Jaguar XJ received no major improvements or changes.

Powertrain: The base V6 engine is a 3.0L supercharged unit producing 340 horsepower. Then there's a supercharged 5.0L V8 rated at 470 horsepower in the XJ Supercharged and XJL Supercharged. That same 5.0L V8 puts out 550 horsepower in the R versions. All are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, and only the V6 offers all-wheel drive as an option.

Cargo Capacity: The 2015 Jaguar XJ offers up 520 litres of trunk space.
