Since the latter part of last year, Ford has offered consumers a plug-in hybrid version of its popular Escape. The problem in its case is that it comes only in two-wheel drive format. On the other hand, the simplified drivetrain makes the SUV lighter than its rivals. The Escape PHEV is definitely not unpleasant to drive on a daily basis.
